Something Lacking

Aimed to run 13 today. Got up and out for 8am. But there was something lacking. Energy.

I had none of it. I tried but had nothing to give. I thought things might improve as they sometimes do, but it was not to be.

Took the Allander water route from Milngavie to Garscube estate, as I set off down towards the river Kelvin I decided to call it a day :-(

I turned back and 'jogged' along Milngavie Road to the Allander leisure centre, where I knew the kids were due at 10am. Then walked along to Milngavie to collect the car with Jeremy.

9 miles -1h15m

We all have days like that! Calling it a day and resting just makes us stronger! Then watch out!

Yes you did the correct thing. You were not your usual happy self and something was wrong from the off. You will be flying next weekend for the 14. You had 2 great sessions this week, So speed work a success and you have plenty of endurance in those legs. Your course would have been spot on,if i did not go up the wrong bridge to the canal.

There must be something in water... ;-)Or maybe it's a runners' epidemic.

Hey Rach,

Don't worry. We all have bad days like that. In the end that makes the good days much better.
Is that route from Milngavie to Garscube a good one? Would it be good for a Thursday run?

It is a great route. The only thing is that the middle section is quite overgrown at the moment,(the bit from Dobbies for about 2 miles) that could be a problem for some 'roadsters'
